Hundreds people show up and show of their rides. Mostly stock to completely ridiculous, you can find it here.
NASA road racing provides most of the entertainment throughout the day.
Drifting has become a staple of Hyper-Fest.

Hyper-Fest has been entertaining those in and around Summit Point Motorsports Park for a solid 13 years. It’s NASA Mid-Atlantic‘s biggest event of the year, and attracts thousands of spectators, not a common site for a club racing event.

This year will mark the first time NASA has moved the event from the Shenandoah Valley in West Virginia. The move to VIR means this growing event will now be able to sprawl itself comfortably across the facility’s 3.27-mile Full Course, 1.1-mile Patriot Course, rally course, and karting track.

If you haven’t been to Hyper-Fest, it’s worth the trip at least once. You’ll enjoy constant sensory overload from the road racing, spectator challenges and car shows during the day to the drift competition, concerts and daisy dukes contest through the evening. It really is a bit of motorsport nirvana. You never run out of things to do and crazy contests to watch. One of our personal favorites is the rollover contest.

This year’s event will take place on May 2, 2015. Tickets will become available in January of 2015.

It'll be interesting to see if the females wearing body paint bikini tops is a hyperfest thing or a WV thing.

Very true. It's still awesome to see so many spectators a club event though. I wonder if moving it to VIR will tone down the madness just a little bit. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends up.

I'm guessing they'll get a lot of racers from the Southeast, too. So that should make for some nice big fields for the racing.

I stopped going two years ago when the drinking and fighting got out of control. I give it another year or two till it's done plus the drifting fad has died out.
