Join Us at the Tire Rack SCCA Solo Championship Tour Kickoff

Nearly 300 autocrossers will descend on the south Georgia town of Adel this weekend. What’s the occasion? The Tire Rack SCCA Solo Championship Tour series is kicking off with the Dixie Champ Tour. We’re doing a few last-minute checks on our 2003 Chevy Corvette Z06 project car before we slap on the BFGoodrich Rival-S tires and take on the 15-car A Street field.

Tune in to our Facebook page over the weekend for live looks (bandwidth permitting) at our Vette’s autocross runs as well as some of the other cars and competitors in attendance. And if you’re in the area, stop by and say hi. There’s no fee to enter South Georgia Motorsports Park and spectate, and you’ll have plenty to see: Some of the coolest autocross cars in the country show up for this first national event of the year.

JG,

I enjoyed visiting with you at SGMP during the Dixie Tour. I got to meet a new (to me) group of A Street drivers and thoroughly enjoyed not being DFL in Pat Mitchell's Z06. Not bad for a 70 year old whose first autox was back in 1970 and had not driven in a Tour (or any autox) for over three years. And I even had a respectable showing of 33rd out of 39 in the Master's Index. The next time that you will see me at a Tour (maybe Bristol?) we should have the Jeep in much better shape.
