The LevelUp Racing School might be new to the world of race car driver training, but their roots go deep. Peter Stolz, a longtime instructor with the now-defunct Skip Barber Racing School, founded LevelUp. He’s joined by several other veteran Skip Barber Racing School teachers, including Jim Pace, Steve Debrecht, Keith Watts and the incomparable Terry Earwood. These drivers also have actual racing experience covering the professional, amateur, historic and kart ranks.
The school uses the ever-popular Spec Miata, with theirs coming from the Advanced Autosports stable. “They’re forgiving enough to comfortably allow a new driver to learn from mistakes, while at the same time allowing a seasoned driver to refine his or her skills,” the LevelUp school notes on their website. “They reward smoothness and foresight.” For details on the new school, including pricing and schedule, check out levelupracingschool.com.
