The events of 2020 torpedoed a lot of plans, including Radwood’s. “We had planned to go around the country last year, running over a dozen shows, but we only got to do one show before everything got shut down,” explains Bradley Brownell, a co-founder of Radwood, the shows that celebrates all the things that made the ’80s and ’90s so rad.

Radwood will restart the show festivities July 10 at the San Mateo County Event Center in beautiful San Mateo, California. Grab your Vans and fire up the 5.0.

As years go, we’d rather forget about 2020 as soon as we can,” Brownell adds, “and we know that there is a ton of pent-up demand for rad-era enthusiasts to get out and connect with the community in person. I cannot wait to get back to seeing our totally rad friends and their totally rad cars.”

We are so excited that the vaccination rollout has been going so well this year,” he adds. “We are confident that by July, the majority of American adults will be protected, and we can all come together in mutual appreciation of ’80s and ’90s cars, motorcycles and culture.”

Can’t wait that long? Starting May 27, Radwood will present a curated collection of 15 rad-era machines at Nashville’s Lane Motor Museum. “The Lane Motor Museum has an exceptional collection of ’80s and ’90s vehicles, making for a very cool sampling of what this era had to offer,” says Art Cervantes, one of Radwood’s other co-founders. “There's bound to be something for everyone, like the quintessential American poster child, the Dodge Viper, to rally heroes like the Renault R5 Turbo and Lancia Delta Integrale on display.”

Brownell adds that more Radwood dates are planned for 2021: “We’ve got two further dates locked in for later in the year, and we’re aiming to double that.”

I went to RadwoodPNW in 2019 and it was awesome on the grounds of the Lemay Automotive Museum. And it's a few blocks from my house so it was a nobrainer. I couldn't decide which of my cars to take but it was close enough I considered walking back to the house and grabbing more cars...

I can't wait until they come back.
