Good news for time attack and time trials drivers across North America: Big names from the industry are coming together to improve time-based competitive motorsport events for drivers of all skill levels and backgrounds.
This new North American Time Attack Council will include Global Time Attack, Super Lap Battle USA, SCCA and #GRIDLIFE. The goal, according to the group, is to “represent the interests of all drivers, from beginner to professional competitor, in order to ensure access, inclusivity, consistency and a high quality driver experience.”
Their website and Facebook page will offer announcements, schedules and any information related to the group and its members’ activities.

Interesting that NASA isn't in the fray considering they've been running a successful Time Trial program for as long as they have.

That was my first thought as well. I suspect that's a deliberate strategy on the part of the SCCA.
I’m interested in this as Time Trial racing has been on my radar for a long time.
