Great cars, nice people and mountain roads. Does it get much better?
Love driving on mountain roads? You'll enjoy this tour.
Joining the Coker Tire Tour also gets you on track at the world-famous Road Atlanta.

Love cool cars and the people who travel with them? Join the Coker Tire, Vredestein, and Classic Motorsports staff on the Coker Tire Tour on Friday, April 22. It’s a one-day vintage-car convoy to the Classic Motorsports Mitty, one of the biggest racing festivals in the U.S. This tour is for anyone with a classic car, sports car, muscle car or hotrod. Sorry, no rental cars or newer-model family cruisers allowed.

The festivities will begin Thursday evening, April 23, at Coker Tire headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a cookout and tours of the museum. The big trip will start the following morning at Coker Tire headquarters, right after a cars-and-coffee event and museum open house. After a day of exploring mountain roads, we’ll arrive at Road Atlanta just in time for Speedfest at the Classic Motorsports Mitty.

What makes this trip really special is the route we’ll be taking. We’ll begin in Chattanooga and head out of town to Highway 64, which is a beautiful drive along the Ocoee River. We’ll then head south to the city of Blue Ridge, Georgia, and have lunch at Mercier Orchards, a fully operational 300-acre apple orchard with wagon tours available. Tour members will want to take advantage of the orchard’s charming shop full of everything apple-related: fresh-picked apples, apple butter, apple cider, sweet fried apple pies and more. After lunch we’ll take one of the most beautiful and challenging roads through the Chattahoochee National Forest. From there we’ll cruise through historic Dahlonega, Georgia, and then on to Road Atlanta.

Once we reach Road Atlanta, we’ll pull into a car corral reserved for our tour participants. Then we’ll enjoy a fresh barbecue dinner and a parade lap around Road Atlanta.

The cost is just $99 per person. For that lowly sum, participants will enjoy backroads mountain driving, lunch at Mercier Orchards, a reserved spot in Coker Tire’s car corral at the Mitty, a barbecue dinner, a Friday ticket to the Classic Motorsports Mitty, and even a parade lap around the Road Atlanta road course. Want to stick around for the entire Mitty weekend? You can add a full event pass for just $36 per person.

Sound like a good way to spend a day? Sign up through MotorsportReg now to claim your spot.
