This picture is actually from Charlotte, but you get the idea.

The ChumpCar sprints at Pittsburgh International Race Complex is coming up on October 4. Guess what: They have the track rented out for 8 hours while only planning on using it for 3. So they are opening up the rest of the day for test and tune sessions. Those of you getting ready for Watkins Glen, NCM or VIR could get a chance to shakedown your car. You could even get it teched early too. Here’s what they have proposed: - $200 per car - As many drivers as you like per car - Car doesn’t need to meet the full ChumpCar rulebook to run, just meet basic safety requirements—cage and belts.

That last part means any car from any club can use the track time as well. NASA, SCCA, etc. They’re all welcome.

If you like the idea of a test day, email Michael to register. Oh, and if you decide you’d like to run in the sprints as well, an extra $100 will get you on the grid.
