That is 951 or S2$$$. Low millage really nice car but that I think is the very top money for a plain old 87 944. I would not pay that. These cars like to be driven. They tend to age better if they are driven. Unless that car has had a complete service recently it will need thousands of dollars of preventative service.

Not from this dealership. They'll tell you exactly what is up with all the vehicles. 

"We have the original sales invoice and all service records back to 1987. The timing belt was replaced just 3000 miles and 2 years ago. It has a Clean CARFAX and a full set of factory repair manuals. "

Meh. Having driven a 944, I don't think they are worth 15 grand, no matter how nice.

I agree with that. Im sure the dealership does too as they probably paid much less. It's almost impossible for a 'buy low' person to make a deal with a 'sell high' person, which is why i just avoid dealerships altogether. Some things are hard to find any other way, and i respect the whole concept of making money doing something you love (flipping cars). I would just have to know the owner of the dealership and be on very good personal terms to feel ok buying at full-retail asking price unless it was something so friggin rare that i had no reasonable hope of finding the car again any other way. 

Also technically that is more than 'rough 996' money, which is the route i went. I bought low from a kid who got in over his head and needed out when the easy money from oil fields dried up. I like buying from desperate people. 

And two years means it is due again. 

Nice General tires!   I kid, really.   My 90 Foxbody 5.0 is on the original 4-lug wheels, and it's probably gonna end up on a set of Generals too.  That's one downside to an original older car - no high performance tires in those old sizes.     

I'm surprised is that 77k is considered "low miles" for one of these.   For the price I was expecting to see 50k or less.

There's no way I'd pay $15k for an NA 944, and I freaking LOVE 944s!
