Saab 99: “New” Engine Build for Saab Feb 13, 2008
We’re starting to tear down our spare engine to use in the rally car.
The head is very clean; it was most likely rebuilt very recently. The long block, however, is pretty craptacular. We’re going to separate it from the transmission and go through it.
We finished the disassembly process last night. The short block had some pretty toasted bearings, both on the rods and the mains.
