Subaru Impreza Wagon: Subaru Upgrades On a Budget Sep 9, 2010

To give our Subaru a more neutral cornering attitude, we added a 20mm rear anti-roll bar from Whiteline. The bar is a bit thicker than the OE options and has two adjustable settings. To make the most of the bar’s rate, we also upgraded the weak plastic end links with some beautiful aluminum pieces from Kartboy.

We also picked up a set of used 17x7.5-inch Rota alloys for the car. We mounted them up with some Continental ExtremeContact DW tires that were left over from some wet-weather testing. We’ll be seeing how these tires behave under light rallycross action. Judging by the tread pattern, we expect them to grip pretty well laterally (limiting sideways slide) but have issues with longitudinal traction.

I dunno about the 2000 L, but for my 2002 WRX wagon I got a bargain 20mm rear bar from a WRX sedan for forty bucks.
