Jun 23, 2010 update to the Subaru Impreza Wagon project car

Picked Up a New Project

The Impreza color is called Blue Ridge Pearl. Looks like blurple to us. Those are 2002 WRX wheels wrapped in pretty fresh Yokohama S-Drive tires. Nice!
It came with a pair of WRX seats. They're comfy, but they don't match the rest of the interior.

We just purchased a 2000 Subaru Impreza L wagon. We’re going to get it ready for some rallycross fun as well as some TSD road rally events. We purchased the car from a friend of the magazine, and it’s in decent shape. However, at 10 years old and with 156,000 miles on the odometer, it’s a little tired. We’ll be going through it from stem to stern.

I dig the blurple. It reminds me of my '87 GTI 16v. It's a pretty awesome shade of blurple.

Dang, and I've gotten rid of my '98 in favor of an '02.

The seat color is fine. Your butt doesn't have eyes so it doesn't care about the color. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

@Duke

Why would you get rid of a GC for a GD? GC's are soooo much better ;)

WRX seats don't match WRX interiors either, so at least it's consistent.

I've had my 01 since new.
A better flowing muffler on the stock exhaust system does wonders for the really low rpm response on these. That, some AGX struts and a good rear sway bar, and it can give some pretty serious machinery fits on a rallycross course.
