Honda Civic SI: Mr. Wizard would be proud Sep 8, 2005
Our little Honda is a very well-made car. As evidenced by the hundreds of pounds of interior we stripped out of it, they didn’t skip on the quality of the components. Unfortunately for us, they also drenched the thing in thick, high-density sound deadening material. We took some dry ice to the hatch area and had some sucess removing the large patch under the spare tire, but other areas were particularly resistant even to the supercooled, solid CO2. And there’s more than a few places where the sound deadening is on the vertical; this is going to be a multi-step process and require a few more pounds of dry ice to complete.
