Update by Tom Suddard to the Subaru Impreza WRX project car
Oct 10, 2012

…between the ruined fender and the dented hood, the Subaru wasn’t something we wanted to be seen driving.

Somehow, we made it home in our clapped-out 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX without any issues. Heck, we even had cold A/C for the trip!

Though we’d had a comfortable drive home, it wasn’t exactly a dignified drive. Our WRX’s sheet metal had seen its better days; between the ruined fender and the dented hood the Subaru wasn’t something we wanted to be seen driving.

The first thing we did after we got the car home was take it to our favorite body shop, The Body Werks. We told them to give us an estimate for the fender and hood repair, and investigate the few patches of rust on the car. Once we know more, we’ll be able to make a decision as to whether or not this will be a show car or a rally beater.

I agree - I don't see any rust!! Just need to buy a roll of white duct tape...

If I make the Challenge next year, the northern p/u will come along as a support vehicle, and you can see what a '93 that has never been driven in the snow looks like, and it is still worse than your Subie...
