We’ve ordered a Katzkin leather upholstery kit for our Saab 9-2x. The car is about a year old and that new car smell has worn off. It’s been replaced with a slight funk. The combination of Florida humidity, dogs and active (read sweaty) owners has made the cloth interior less than optimal. We ordered the kit through a Group Buy thread on NASIOC. The kit was $715 shipped for our Saab, including several options like full leather seating surfaces, two tone (black and putty grey inserts) and perforated inserts. In theory, this kit can be installed by the home do-it-yourselfer, so we’ll give it a try and let you know how it turns out.
This weekend, the Saab helped us get a engine hoist and stand moved around after we installed the engine in our Alfa.
