We recently got our hands on one of Cobb Tuning's AccessPort tuning devices for our 'Speed3. This little gem will get a detailed write-up in an upcoming issue, but in the meantime, here's a video detailing our first look at the device. Long story short: In just a few minutes, we came away impressed.
Mazdaspeed3 Gets Some New Rubber Mar 30, 2009
Our Mazdaspeed3 got some suspension surgery in the form of a set of Mazdaspeed coil-overs. While the stock tires performed admirably, we wanted to use some rubber that more adequately exploited the fancy new hardware. We went with the new Yokohama Advan Neova AD-08 on a set of 18x8 OZ Racing Alleggerita wheels. Results were impressive.

The June issue of GRM is at the printer now, and contained within its pages is part one of our project series on our 2008 Mazdaspeed3.
In this first installment, we go looking for some easy power. We find it by pressing a few buttons and turning a few wrenches. Actually, we were surprised at how much power was available thanks to some simple digital tuning and a cold-air intake.
