Fiesta to Go to World Challenge

Jul 22, 2013 update to the Ford Fiesta project car

Our Fiesta may no longer be street-legal, but it’s going on a little trip to visit Capaldi Racing, near Detroit.
Exotic Car Transport handled the shipping. Notice the GoPro on the driver’s head. It’s part of their inspection process.
The entire load-in process took around half an hour.

Our Fiesta project car has one more big race on its card—the Pirelli World Challenge contest at Mid-Ohio. Exotic Car Transport picked up our Fiesta project on Friday.

Capaldi Racing is going to go through it beforehand, so we shipped the car their way to Chesterfield, Michigan. It was the best solution for us, considering much of our staff were away at three big events this past weekend: the Ultimate Track Car Challenge at Virginia International Raceway, The Hawk at Road America and the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.

Look for details of our prerace preparations in an upcoming issue of Grassroots Motorsports.

It’s a party at the track and everyone’s invited. Subscribe now for tons of sports car content delivered 8 times a year.
