1962 Ford Thunderbird

Here’s my old ‘62 Thunderbird hardtop. I bought it as the second owner in 2008, and honestly it was more trouble than it was worth. When I bought it in Boston, it burned about 2 quarts of oil for every 10 gallons of gas or so. I drove it home to TN without any problems and once it got here it was just a constant headache. I wanted to like this car, but I can’t say I miss it. I added a Weiand intake, Holley Street Avenger carb and air cleaner, Hamburger’s valve covers, MSD billet alternator, and a Concept One serpentine system to the 390 FE big block. I put on 17x7 Centerline wheels, too. My car was also used to prototype and test-fit the first Be Cool radiator for this model.

YEARS ago I had one also, same year and color even. Loved the car. That steering wheel sliding over was great. Mine was very dependable.
