New rear calipers Mar 30, 2010
The car has the rear out of an M Coupe… which are a single piston caliper floating design with rubber seals that practically require seasonal rebuilding. It also makes decent race pads a $220 problem.
So… Wilwood makes some nice fixed, multi-piston, full race calipers that have good full race pad selection in the $75 range to go with. The problem… how to fit them? Well… I have a welder and a pile of scrap 1/4” steel. It took a little time to get it positioned correctly but…. done.
