Upgraded to disc brakes in the front and now has 16x8" wheels in place of the stock 14x4.5". Working on many projects for it, including learning engine work by rebuilding a 2.3L turbo motor to add in eventually.

Hey classicJackets, my friend showed me the post with your new 87 Merkur today. I have been searching high and low for a car as magnificent as your Merkur but have always fallen short. Is there any possibility that you would be interested in selling it before you part it out? I may be able to make it worth your while. Thanks! (Sorry I'm posting this here, but I can't send a private message and the site wont let me post it anywhere else)
