I hate to see old "Blinky" go, but I have to make room for the Miata. There's a for sale thread in the Classifieds. I took this picture ~8 hours ago...

I won my first SCCA Solo II Regional Championship this year. I competed in 7 of 9 events earning 6 event wins and 1 runner-up. (I also competed one in STU with John's GTO winning that class over him and ...
My stupid owner wants to be a Porsche snob and is selling me! Please buy me before one of his insane friends does and shoves a V8 into me. Please? http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/classifieds/1416/
"Blinky" has 158 autocross runs on it in 2 seasons by me. And 37 by John. And 20 by Audra. And 8 by wherethefmi. And 4 by Instructors. And 3 by Josh. And 3 by Richard. That's 233 total. Damn. ...
No real updates here other than the fact that Blinky rolled over 235,000 miles on the way to Packwood last weekend, was driven by four people over 2 days of autocrossing, and finished out with 45 runs! Drove home with ...
This is a sweet pic of drag racing the 7 at PIR last year. I didn't realize I hadn't shared it!
Now I just have to install the stupid thing. I think the budget will allow for a paint job for the whole car in January 2010. We'll see!
Ended up invading Packwood for a weekend to attend my first ProSolo. Now that is truly a cross between drag racing and autocross! It was *awesome*. Props to "Blinky" for being the *oldest* car of the event, having the *smallest* ...
This is what happens when clutch parts are defective! The facing on the pressure plate side of the disc came off in nearly one solid piece. There's no abnormal wear, no burning, no nothing. It literally just fell apart. I ...
Opening round of the Oregon Region SCCA SoloII competition was a few days ago (my updates are slow :P ) and results are out. I got a class win!!! Ok, ok, it was out of 2 cars and in the ...
Well it was time to upgrade some more so the heavy steel factory intake/air filter assembly was ditched for the ultra-lightweight Racing Beat unit with foam filter. This does require disconnecting of the airpump, which is no big deal. I ...
Last update today, this will catch GRM up with my actual build thread so from now on updates will come as they actually happen. I purchased nearly a complete black interior almost right after I bought the car but never ...
Here's the very latest project (hasn't even made my build thread yet!). I managed to trade for a set of bright red and black suede racing seats. They're off-brand but about the same weight as the FC RX-7 seats I ...
My poor car had to park out in the street for a few weeks over the summer while we were having some work done to the house and an inconsiderate utilities truck driver decided to smash it and run off. ...
"Blinky" (so affectionately named by my girlfriend for it's chronic headlight issues) hustling around the cones at the "Spring Break Out" this year. I run with the Oregon chapter of the Porsche Club of America and they run an absolutely ...
Back in August of 08 I finally got new wheels. 1st Gen RX-7's (79-85) have a bizarre 4x110 bolt pattern so finding wheels is incredibly difficult. Konig makes Rewinds (which I don't care for on RX-7's) and some really nice ...
It's been a ridiculously long and hard winter up here in the Pacific Northwest! The record snowfall allowed me to find (and fix) a few leaks before they turned nasty. I removed the ultra rare rear hatch with the power ...
Here she is with the new exhaust installed (check out that tip!) and ready to go for the first autocross of the year. Changes from last season included the exhaust, an oil change, and a few more miles. The bump ...
New exhaust was installed in February 2009. Racing Beat Streetport 12A header with a custom made 2.5" collector (painted with VHT black header paint and wrapped with DEI header wrap), custom mandrel-bent 2.5" exhaust, Dynomax Race Bullet Resonator, Summit fully-welded ...
OK, well my grand plans of a real build thread on GRM failed miserably. The Reader's Rides doesn't like hotlinked photos or multiple pics so I'm going to have to trudge through! If you would like to read my "traditional" ...
Well, it's high time I made the build thread for my Rx-7. I've had it for almost a year now and it's high time I did some work on it. This is how it looked when I first got it ...
