2001 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor P71 updates:
Oh no! First failure! Mar 20, 2009
For the first time in the 15 months since I bought the P71 something actually failed! I thought I had a rear axle seal going out but it turns out the bearing had started to let go and chewed up the axle and seal (no damage to the housing). Sounds expensive, right? Nope! $143. That’s it. For a brand new axle (from Ford) with bearing, seal, and ABS ring, just pop in and go. God I love this car!
