2002 Saturn SL

This hooptie was purchased for a mere $700.00. Originally this car was to serve as a replacement for the long lived wagon, however the car is a soul sucking appliance and will be sold off in early 2016. The car features a unique combination of select parts that transform the ultra base SL into a semi luxurious winter cruiser. A fuel sipping woefully underpowerd SOHC engine mated to a five speed transmission delivers 38-40 MPG. The interior features upscale full leather seating with manual wind up windows. Entertainment is provided by a factory AM/FM 6 disk CD head unit that sort of works. The exterior is a rare Saturn blue that was only offered with the third gen body style. The plain-Jane SL tail panel was upgraded to a SL2 type that was only available on the high performance twin cam models. A subtle and tasteful silver/gray pin striping provides an aristocrat type finish that is often found on Rolls Royce automobiles. The sedan version of the Saturn has a somewhat limited cargo space so a Drawtite trailer hitch was fitted so the car could haul garbage and motorcycles … just like the wagon.
