View all Luke's Fiat 126

Actually it’s a 1991 Polish built FSM Niki (in other parts of the world it was sold as a Fiat 126.)

650cc two cylinder air cooled motor, putting out all of 23hp (basically the same drive train found in a Fiat 500.) It weighs little over half a ton and the trick to achieving any sort of pace is momentum - keep the revs up and it’s fine on the flats. Doesn’t much care for hills though.

My original plan was to warm up the stock motor and go autocrossing, but I’m now considering a motorbike engine swap, funds and skill allowing. Lately, however, with fuel prices as they are, I’ve been commuting in the little beastie. Gets close to 50mpg, plus chicks tend to dig it.

Blew a tire at speed tonight. Sent me skidding off the road, luckily into an empty carpark. While I was changing the flat, some dude in a old V8 Falcon came up full of questions and wanting to buy it.

Sweet!!! You should definately consider the bike swap still, even sport bikes can get 50mpg!! Granted, probably not with the way I’d be driving it, but still!! :D

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, I’ve just sold this one. Moving across the country in the new year and I won’t have the room for two cars.

If you're reading this, you've probably seen these odd links with funny names somewhere on the site and want to know what they're all about. Well, prepare to feel a bit more Net savvy. Those links are what the geeks call "social networks."

Social networking sites allow you to store and share links and pages across the Internet. It's like taking your bookmarks list and being able to see it from any computer.

Even better, social networks allow you to steer friends, relatives, colleagues and pretty much anyone else to the cool stuff you've found, so they have something better to do online than watching the skateboarding squirrel video on YouTube for the thirtieth time. You're making the world a better place.

The only catch is that while all the social networks are free, you do have to register. Each site has a slightly different focus, so take a look through the links and see which service suits you best.
