Ok … here’s some more information on my little car.
I happened upon this little gem after extensive searches on Craigslist and the local ads … I rushed out and managed to snag this one. Pics are kinder than in person, but overall it’s a nice solid car. Debate has raged, I was thinking of yanking the engine/tranny combo from my 1991 Dakota and turbo’ing it ala my Project Morris Minor days … but with fuel prices and the prospect of a running 1800 in there, I’m torn. Current thoughts are to just get it in running shape and enjoy it for a while while me and the new Mrs. decide on final plans. Only small hurdle is she can’t drive a 5-speed, and has had numerous attempts, but I think I’m man enough to get her gear jamming with the best of ‘em. (And if not, it’s a great excuse to upgrade the clutch!)
The Good: Solid car, “restored” in early 1990’s from various artifacts I’ve found, originally green but now all red. New floor patch panels were included in purchase. The Ugly: Typical car rust … Fred Flinstone floorboards, hacked up electrical wiring, some things dismantled and put in boxes, but looks to be all complete for the most part.

- What do you mean, nothing to write home about? Nice car. Good color, too.

- Thanks — the “30 foot” picture is much better I agree. The shot you can’t see is the Fred Flinstone floorboards and the fact it was originally green, looks to be about a 1990’s resto attempt. I have new floor pans for it, but want to make sure the rails are all solid before I put those in. The electrical wiring has been hacked apart, but I did get it running at one point. Now that I have someone to help out around the garage, I’m very anxious to get the car back on the road.

huh?If you're reading this, you've probably seen these odd links with funny names somewhere on the site and want to know what they're all about. Well, prepare to feel a bit more Net savvy. Those links are what the geeks call "social networks."
Social networking sites allow you to store and share links and pages across the Internet. It's like taking your bookmarks list and being able to see it from any computer.
Even better, social networks allow you to steer friends, relatives, colleagues and pretty much anyone else to the cool stuff you've found, so they have something better to do online than watching the skateboarding squirrel video on YouTube for the thirtieth time. You're making the world a better place.
The only catch is that while all the social networks are free, you do have to register. Each site has a slightly different focus, so take a look through the links and see which service suits you best.
