Looks awesome, the V8 is ok, the 2.3 turbo engine is AWESOME to modify, but it's hard to beat the v8 torque and simplicity as well as the abundance and low price of the 5.0 engine… I like this car's presentation and attention to detail.

Thanks guys - it's a fun toy, and a pretty good sleeper. FWIW - consistently gets 17-19 mpg around town and 25-26.5 on the highway - best tank of 27.5 on the Interstate. Just about the same as the n.a. 4 banger.

I wish there were lots of production cars like yours. Trying to push my E-30 in that direction. Simple, beautiful, and fun. Cars have too much stuff now. A/C, power windows, is plenty enough luxury for me. Wonderful job.

What power windows? :)

Michael, saw your car at the GT Autoshow, I couldn't believe the attention to detail on this thing, truely a masterpiece original!

Raze — thanks for kudos….I enjoy refining it. When I retire, I'm just going to build cars. And I announced to my wife that I wasn't sure I'd ever need another one – this has enough left to do to keep me occupied for a while. Knee-deep into GM Perf. Products crate LS3 possibities right now. Since Ford sold Volvo to Chinese ownership - no need to keep it 'in the family' any longer!

….oh - and I got 25.2 mpg on the round trip from Charlotte!

Thanks to all the folks who came by at GaTech's (2010 GRM Champs!) car show Apr. 2nd. Great visiting with you and seeing your reaction to the car in person!

Michael, I'm just starting a Camaro V8 swap for my '80 242 with a buddy of mine. Coincidentally enough, my Vo is also sand/almond colored and I love the look that you've put together. I'd like to hit you up for pointers in the next few months if thats alright..

No problem. I'll likely go LS3 when it's time for more umph…. Probably best to just email me when the time comes - michael.yount@piedmontng.com You probably know, but if it's old school ignition - you eat up valuable space with the distributor at the back. Distributorless or the Ford small block solves that problem.

Tried to add a couple of new pictures; re-did front air dam. Added a 93 Volvo 850 air dam and homemade splitter.
