First track day with massive rubber
The 928 has some massive wheel wells. We were able to fit 18x11 and 18x10 turbo twists with GT3 cup rear tires all around. This thing really sticks! Notice the headlight stickers and Yamaha R1 mirrors.

Needless to say, we jumped on the car pretty quickly. It was built by a local german shop as a time trials car, but the owner decided racing spec miata would be more fun.

Bodywork and paint is all done! The color is Gulf blue and the wheels will be finished in orange. We're getting anxious to track it again! We're still within the $200X challenge budget for now!
We got the fenders flared out enough to fit the 18x10 twists all around with Michelin 270 slicks. We'll take it to an auto-x next weekend in primer to make sure the tires don't rub too much before we paint ...
