1996 Mazda Miata

This is my 1996 Miata daily driver. I love this car. I bought it with 67k miles, after 3 years it’s got 125,000 and feels like when I bought it.
So far it’s got an intake, 4-2-1 header, and a cat back exhaust. I also installed ‘04 Mazdaspeed Miata shocks and springs which have a good ride and are awesome on the track! I got the Mazdaspeed’s rear sway bar too which makes it very tailhappy :) Brake pads are Hawk HPS.
I rebuilt the engine with ‘02 Miata pistons bringing the compression ratio up above 10:1. I also built a ported cylinder head and installed 1mm oversize valves. I used a 1.6L flywheels and clutch because it was lighter and more compact.
I want to upgrade the transmission to a 6-speed from an NB and throw on an ACT clutch.
I drive this car year around and never worry about snow! I’ve got Michilin Alpin X snow tires which kick ass and I made spacers to lift my car 1” just by jacking it up!
At the track I have passed a Porsche GT3 RS, many Mustangs, a couple M3s, and some guy put his shiny brand new Z06 off in the mud trying to follow me :P
