1984 Chrysler "Executive Sedan"
Added on Feb. 26 by Vigo

Factory stretch New Yorker semi-limo thing. 1 of 204 ever made.

The craigslist ad said “1984 Chrysler- HUGE back seat! $300”. That was enough of a context clue for my insanely K-car-knowledgeable self to go snap it up for $200.

I havent even attempted to get it running yet. It’ll be a resto-mod thing and its gonna take a lot of work, long term project kinda thing.

It was rolling on flats i didnt have spares for, and i had a minivan i was parting out, so i DID do a 5-lug conversion with bigger brakes, front and rear. Only minivan rear drums adapted to the car axle ever done, to my knowledge. Its got a non-turbo g54 mitsu motor and 3spd auto. I think ill keep the g54 and do a megasquirted starion turbo setup and build the auto to be a tall-geared, lockup clutch added hybridized thingy. Luckily i know how to do such things.

The interior will be some kinda wild when im done, but i havent even started yet.

Odd someone should comment now, im FINALLY getting around to this thing. I changed my mind about the motor setup. I do plan to keep the g54, but put it in a k-car it never came in. I think it's crazier that way. I decided to use the rare VNT (variable nozzle turbo) setup that dodge put on some 89 and 90 cars. It spools instantly and it's rare.. two pluses for a car like this. Im upgrading the compressor side of the turbo to flow around 300hp worth of air. Doubt i'll push it that far, but this boat should run 14s nonetheless. Anywho, im cleaning/painting/assembling the motor currently. :)

I applaud your effort but that poor transmission surely won't.

Modified versions of this trans have carried cars to the 8s and 180mph in the 1/4. It shouldnt have any problem holding a 3500 lb car in the 14s, even with a super mild build. Luckily i build them myself so it's not a major expensive even if it DOES break. Turbo mopars are graced with some of THE strongest FWD transaxles ever built, bar none. :)
