Awesome wagon. I too have a tdi daily driver and though I wish it was the simplicity of the ALH engines, still makes for a great car.
My first - and so far, only - new car purchased solely by me. My main daily driver with 220K miles as of 6/2010. All maintenance work done by me. Car has never been to a dealer and amazingly (for a VW) has been stone-reliable. As it ages, it’s starting to wear a bit… and may start getting some performance upgrades with an eye towards FSP prep.
Still my daily driver. Recently passes 255K miles.

Final update - I took the car off the road in late 2013 with 329K miles on it to replace the turbo and do some other preventative maintenance. Got it up on the lift in the back of the garage and started tearing it down... and then it sat... for about 8 years. I finally decided enough was enough and in mid-2021, I sold it as-is to a friend of Nonack from CT. I understand he has since put it all back together and has been driving it.
