Making Panda lighter

I've decided to make a dedicated autocrosser and my '93 Civic is it. Starting by making it lighter, rear seats out and going to remove whatever I can to make it under 2000lbs, the tow rating for the Legacy. No ...

and more headgasket news.

Don't buy cheap head studs, they break. I realize now the OEM one's would've been a better choice after we broke one of the studs. No big deal but had to use the old ones which torqued up no problem. ...

My first solo with the car (as an the owner). Ended up first overall, thanks to the PAX system. We only had 10 entries at our local event as there were many races on the same day. Let you know how it goes for the next one.

Last solo of the year on Sunday. Over the winter I hope I can do a few things to the car. Hard to work on it when it's your daily driver. Scored some used R888 for next year. Next up a rear sway bar.

Things didn't go quite as well for the last solo. Ended up 6th out of 29 entries. Not bad but had a spin and almost hit the wall. We were running on the oval and I went in to hot and lost the back, got about 1-2 feet from the wall. After that I was a lot more conservative and my times showed that. Next year I'll run the r-compounds and hopefully a rear sway bar.

3 broken breaker bars and using the torch and the axle nut is off. That was fun. I put it back together and the transmission gasket is leaking so I've pulled it apart again and waiting on a replacement. I did run the first solo of the year. 34 cars and I was first in HS and 2nd overall. Not a bad day for a rollie pollie Honda Civic.
