'01 VVT Engine Installation Aug 8, 2009
I recently completed and installed a ground up build of an ‘01+ BP6D engine. To enable the VVT to operate properly, I designed a controller board to use the OE crank and cam shaft pickup sensors. The controller then generates a MegaSquirt-usable signal for fuel and spark control. To operate the VVT, the controller references a 12x12 table of load versus RPM.
While the engine was out, the engine bay received a fresh coat of paint to clean things up a bit.
