Holy crap that's awesome. Is police impersonation a new hobby of yours? I think it would be mine, with a car like that.

Is it legal to have a paint scheme like the real police cars? I'm sure it's illegal here in CA.

Originally posted by jkroethle Resident Cop It is not illegal to paint your vehicle in the traditional black and white scheme. They sell our old run down vehicles at auction and do nothing to them except take off the light bars, stickers, and remove sensitive equuipment. If you paint your vehicle and add lights and decals to appear just like a patrol vehicle it can be perceived as such and you run into the danger of possibly impersonating a police officer. However; I have seen old school Chevrolets from the 1950's that have the entire set-up and are perfectly fine as they are replicating a vintage vehicle. In other words “NO” you won't get in trouble for having a black and white theme (just use common sense on how far you go, don't get crazy with Galls magazine light bars and such)… Hope this helps… http://www.azdriven.com/forums/showthread.php?3…
