1973 Mercury (Ford) Capri. 2.8 Liter V6. Offy Intake with Hollley 4 bbl. carb. & headers. American Racing Formula Libre wheels with Sumitomo 205/60/13 tires. I have owned this one since 2000, and have painstakingly restored it to its present state. Body and paint was done by Body and Soul Restorations in Adrian, Mi.
Advertised as the “Sexy European”; the Capri was originally designed by Ford of Europe as a type of European Mustang and was built from 1969-74 in both England and Germany. Nearly 375,000 were sold in the US during those years. The Capri was named by Ford as one of its top 25 “Heart & Soul” vehicles of all time in honor of the companies 100th anniversary in 2003.
