1989 Ford Probe GT

This car was my daily driver during college. I was broke at the time, but still wanted to get more performance out of it. I removed the axle back and knocked out the cat. Having no money at the time, I cut the bottom out of the air box in an attempt to free up the intake. I bought a chip off of e-bay and raised the boost to ~11 psi by “adjusting” a screw on the back of the stock boost solenoid. I took the car to Grand Bend Motorplex one hot summer day to run a best of 14.8 @ 93 (2.4 60’) with the ignition violently breaking up through 3rd. I never had a chance to take the car to the track to get a clean run. The car was sold to a friend who drove it two more years until taking it apart to “restore” it, but he never put it back together.
