1980 Volvo GT

The first of several Volvos I would own. European-spec B23 motor with K-grind competition cam, straight-through exhaust, lots of period dealer R-sport goodies. Called the “SS Volvo” by members of my racing club due to its incredible lean angles. Like many Volvos of that era, suffered from terminal wiring issues (as well as a fair amount of body rot). Sold to the chief mechanic at the dealership from whence it originally came way November 1979. The engine lives on in an ‘81 245.
