I had a 'turtledeck' (non- hatchback) which looked just like this one! I'm going to say that since it's a Runabout with the big glass hatch most likely it's a 2.0.

Dang, now I have to dredge Craigslist for one of these now. Added to the list: E63 AMG, 1995 Mustang GTS, BMW 3 series wagon, and early small bumper Pinto. Nice!
