1977 Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC

1977 450 SLC, I found this car parked on the side of the road with a for sale sign. It had needs. My wife liked the body style and I liked the idea of a limited production car. The clincher for me was the grey market nature of the car. It legally didn’t have any pollution gear installed so it developed more raw German Horsepower than a smog sapped Corvette of the same year.
Restoration to a driver standard took about a year. 10 years later I still have the car and it’s a blast to drive.
