Photos from the road Jun 12, 2010

I‘m spending this weekend on the road. After leaving the office on Thursday, I began my journey north to attend the Wicked Big Meet in Massachusetts. Typically, we travel in packs to events like this but a demanding summer schedule dictated that this trip would be a solo journey.
Solo road trips are a bit more challenging logistically, but once in a while it’s nice to spend some quiet time alone as the odometer clicks along. It also allows me to dictate my own schedule somewhat, stopping as I see fit to fill the tank, drain the bladder, or restock my supply of Mountain Dew, Cigarettes, and Beef Jerky.
It had been a busy week in the office, and I was feeling extra motivated to spread the word to new readers and get to socialize with friends of the magazine. I’d never been to this part of the Northeast before, and looked forward to seeing some new parts of the country.
There were several firsts on this trip; my first time visiting New Jersey, (People are right-it does smell funny.) my first time crossing the George Washington Bridge, my first time in Connecticut (3 hours = 70 miles in traffic.) and tomorrow, my first time attending a one-marque event that doesn’t have any competition involved. I’ll have a lot more pictures tomorrow, so look for another blog entry soon.
