Fifty years ago today the 1960 Corvair was introduced and started selling in Chevrolet dealerships across the country. There are many celebrations being held across the country ranging from Corvairs in showrooms, parades, corvair shows, picnics and BBQs. Corvair owners have been strongly urged to drive the Corvair today in celebration.
For those of you in the Ypsilanti, MI are there is a party planned at The Heritage Museum.

- My first car was a 63 Corvair 140 back in 1976. I paid the princely sum of $75.00 for the car. One thing that I learned very quickly is you always kept 2 quarts of oil, a spare fan belt and a bit of wire to field the generator. Over the years I have had 4 of them. A 63, 2 65s and a 67 monza, Being from Chicago all of them suffered from serious issues of the tin worm.
