Nail it!

Suggested by LocostSmitty

Several companies make bearings, solid, urethane or Delrin bushings, to improve handling by eliminating unwanted slop in suspension systems, but the 200X challenge racer on a strict budget need only beat a handful of finish nails into the rubber part of the bushing to achieve the same result. Using a symetrical pattern and nails slightly shorter than the bushing, pound in 4 and flip it. 4 more from the other side & flip it back. Split the spacing and vary from the inner to the outer edge adding nails till it’s about full. The rubber will be swollen out of the ends. Grind it down till you can re-install the part, and lube the inner sleeve with silicone grease. The bushing is 4x as stiff(half the bushing is steel & the other half is twice as dense), and you can do the whole car for the price of a six-pack of beer. Smitty
