Getting the axles out of an AE92 corolla
Suggested by SpeedyWilsonNot in the HAYNES manual!!! I figured it out after lots of cussing and a few pall malls…. Take the calipers off and zip tie to something to keep them from pulling on the brake line. Loosen the 30mm axle nut untill almost off. Hit nut with hammer to slide axle splines almost out. Remove the nut. Remove the 2 bolts and nuts holding the strut to the spindle. Ease the spindle down and wiggle the axle out when compressed. Pry loose from tranny at the weight/ end joint thingy. DO NOT PULL ON AXLE TO REMOVE!!! (you dont want to know how I figured that out along time ago) On 1987 and back models be sure to reference the camber shims with a paint mark to get it back the way it was. On 1988 and up models it is non adjustable by shims. Install is reverse of removal.(duh!)
