World Challenge Announces Partnership with Grassroots Motorsports Magazine
TOPEKA, KS - WC Vision announced today a media partnership with Grassroots Motorsports, the hardcore sports car magazine. Grassroots Motorsports (GRM) will publish the 2011 World Challenge Sports Car Wars Fan Guide as well as feature exclusive in-depth World Challenge content on its website, on a new World Challenge micro-site, via various social media vehicles and in Grassroots Motorsports magazine.
“We have always admired and covered World Challenge in GRM. It is so exciting to finally have an official relationship with this organization,” said Tim Suddard, Publisher, Grassroots Motorsports Magazine. “World Challenge is some of the best racing in America and is the pinnacle that many of our readers aspire to.”
Fifty thousand copies of the 2011 World Challenge Fan Guide will be polybagged with subscription copies of the June issue of GRM, and an additional 20,000 will be distributed at World Challenge races and special events over the course of the upcoming season. As well, the June issue of Grassroots Motorsports, which has national distribution at major retail outlets, will be dedicated to World Challenge, featuring detailed editorial content.
“We are excited to be forming a partnership with Grassroots Motorsports Magazine” said Dave Drimmie, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for WC Vision. “The magazine’s readership aligns nicely with the fan base that follows World Challenge, and we look forward to providing GRM’s readers with compelling content from the series.”
GRM will become a vital media partner for the 2011 World Challenge Championships, including sending out information on series events and the TV schedule in their regular monthly e-newsletter, developing a new World Challenge micro-site featuring race coverage and driver information and sending notifications to fans on the Grassroots Motorsports Facebook page before each World Challenge event.
GRM Inside Look videos will explore the technical aspects of World Challenge at every race. The videos will focus on everything from the differences between classes to suspension setup to safety equipment. These videos will be placed on Grassroots Magazine site, as well as on YouTube and with StreetFire, a popular “tuner” website that is part of the CarDomain website family.
Fans will also see GRM staff at many World Challenge events in 2011 promoting the magazine with giveaways and more as Grassroots will be sponsoring World Challenge autograph sessions throughout the season.
