TL;DR: We need to be spending more time jumping Challengers.
Sadly, despite what was promised by my youthful dreams, working at a car magazine does not mean playing with cars all day. At least I don’t.
What do we do? We make content: magazines, web, video and the like. Might as well add in events, too, as we do those as well.
What’s that really like?
Sarah and I just made a promo cover for the August issue. This is a mock-up that will be used by the ad and circ departments. The goal is to get something close and sellable. While doing this, I’m also fielding questions from the rest of the staff. Office sounds today provided by They Might Be Giants (Asbury Park live from August 8, 2013).

Ah. That explains the ramp that's getting built at the FIRM.

A nap sounds awesome. We just finished a two-week GRM production cycle because we needed to steal a little time to finish an issue of Classic. Mentally, it’s rather demanding. This afternoon, I’m basically cycling between editing for web, magazine and video.
