1983 VW GTI. Fuel injection. 1.8l 8v engine. 5 speed. 112,xxx miles. Many new parts including new front brakes, new alternator, new clutch, new catback exhaust, and NEW STEREO with CD player! Headliner was falling so I redid it in plaid. Looks pretty neat.

This GTI is in good running condition. It has been my daily driver since April and has been both fun and reliable. This white rabbit will not lead you down a hole!!!!! Has some rust but all in all good body. Underbody and floors are clean. Runs good and has been reliable for me. When you cold start it it won't idle right away, you have to give it gas and then it idles a little high. This has never been an issue for me. It never overheats when you're moving but if you stop for awhile it gets a bit hot. It needs a thermostat, ($7 at autozone) I just can't find the right one to fit in the housing. Front brakes are new, car stops good and e-brake works. But back brakes make a clicking noise sometimes. Just one of those funny things that 26 year old VW's do, I guess.

This is a really cool car. Come check it out, folks! I'll be available to show it starting Friday night.
