1997 Mustang

Well I bought a turd. Hopefully I make it in October.  It runs and drives and kind of stops. The big diet is about to begin. 

Step 1: Flush all the fluids. The brake res is blacker then my coffee. (hopefully that fixes the brakes) The rad is a lovely shade of poo.

Step 2: Sell anything non essential. Like air bags, interior, and really that is about it. 

Step 3: Diet for me and the car. 

Step: 4: Regroup and evaluate power to weight ratio. 1/4 mile ET. Then appearance.

Bright side its a 5 speed with 4:10 gears and decent tires.

Oh yeah it needs a clutch. So SFI flywheel will be net zero and then whatever clutch.

Fluid probably won't fix brakes.   New pads might. 
 

try and trade stuff first as it doesn't count against recoup.   your desirable cast-offs are easier to trade than the small fiddly bits. 

someone might be able to verify or disprove the merits of a budget three-link rear by removing one  of the small rear control arms.
