2020 Challenge still happening?

No.  I just grabbed them from an image search of the web.  They made me chuckle, so I wanted to share.

I'm hoping to come down and hang out/spectate / lend a hand but there's a lot of unknown between now and then. I have no doubt that GRM will do everything they can to minimize the risk for everyone and have a safe event, but wether or not i'm comfortable is more about me than it is about them.

I may go ahead and hold a hotel room so I don't miss out. If I bail I can always hand it off to someone who is going.. What's the best place to stay?

Lmao nope not deploying this year. My gf is around that time frame and if she leaves before the challenge then I'm going to try my best to attend. Barring any tdy's etc lol.  

Wording is important.  Are you scheduling a gf for around that time but want her out of your life before the Challenge?   I mean I can tell you how to get rid of a gf unless she's totally crazy.  Those you just have to enter the witness protection program.

Lol damnit. My gf is tasked to leave around that time. If she leaves before the challenge,  I'll go. If she leaves after the Challenge, then I'm not going. If her tasking is canceled, then I'm bringing the whole fam.

I'm about to schedule to keep her around forever if I can lol. 

I have some ignition system kinks to iron out on the escort.

Need to tune the MS on the 323, but that'll only be an afternoon. 

But the plan is to drive one of them down. The escort would be more comfortable and properly Radwood, the 323 should be a top 10 autocross car, especially if I manage to fit wider than 205 rubber under it by then.

The Challenge Class of 2020 should get a "Never Surrender" medal for pulling it off. Should be a memorable year.

Somebody please paint a mask on the nose of your car.

we're bringing a completely empty saturn that should need tie downs to not fly away. And maybe some r-comps.... and nitrous. it's had all the lightness added.

well, for some. My wife's aunt lives across the street on the golf course. But we're staying at the hotel this time.

My point was that a lot of activity and interaction happens at the host hotel. There is only 1 place to stay if you want to be included in 70% of the interaction and fun of the event.

I've stayed in other places cheaper. It's no fun.

Well, you should have spent some time in the parking lot or at the pool or the breakfast bar connecting with other folks. You missed some good stuff.

wife was with me. That won't be a problem this year. And I was part of the parking lot shenanigans on Thurs.

The hotel management closed the pool area early last year.  It was a real buzz kill.  I sure hope that's not going to happen again.

They closed it at closing time technically, unfortunately in previous years they let it go as long as people were cool

She wanted to spend time with her aunt and cousin. I got to go to the challenge and she shoehorned into the car with an extra set of tires. I am not going to complain

And I was greeted to the 2019 Challenge by some guy I didn't know coming up and saying "Did you order a shirt?"  Now I'll give you a hug before saying yes I did.

I'm coming for the party, and possibly a last-chance entrant. Plus I have that awful jacket to give away. Or I'll tow Datsaniti and auction it off.

No matter what I will be there.
