Ooooooh, I need to look into this. I have a few ideas.

Has anyone used a 3D print as a guide for using a router to cut plywood? That's my first idea here and I don't see any reason it wouldn't work but I wanted to ask since im not the most knowledgeable 3D print person.

That's very much the idea, but I was thinking just using the router handheld. So take printed template, fasten to wood, run the router around using template as guide, unfasten and have nice wood part.

Although the idea is also evolving. My challenge car needs a team of engineering nerds.

Gonna be size limited, unless you break it down into puzzle piece type panels that you can fasten together.

I would think you would have faster results with a 1:1 paper print taped down to follow with a jigsaw, then finish with a sander.

Yeah this would be more for making a series of parts that all needed to be very nearly the same. I guess I could do the jigsaw thing and then use the first one as the template.

Think you can make a strong version of the gearshift adapter for a logitech? if so there is a market out there for it.

Yes, yes I can. What is the common failure point?

First or second shift they crack, it could be a combination of faulty design and not making it thick enough. It's a failure of both brackets.
