I'm officially an ex-kart racer. The nearest track closed a few years back and this chassis has been occupying garage wall space since.
It's a Margay Cougar A/C (which Margay intended to mean All Classes) This was one of the better chassis' of the 1.25" axle era. I used it for the direct drive Yamaha can class, which was way fun. It could also be run in pipe classes, formula Y, juniors, etc etc.
Where it is still particularly well suited is as a sit-up sprint enduro kart, either 2 or 4 stroke based. It would also be perfect to get a kid started in karts at SCCA autocross events.
I'm looking for $1300 for the chassis with 2 Yamaha KT100 engines, one of which has a zero time Dwyer-built crank, a can muffler, a WKA approved RLV formula direct drive pipe, a Horstman oil bath clutch, a couple boxes of parts, and a fresh set of engine and carb gaskets, rings, etc.
I'll post a link to an album of pics later.
The kart is in MD close to NW DC and local pickup is how it'll work...
