Posting this for a buddy of mine. I told him to hold off on posting it to CL so you guys could get first crack at this beast. If interested email me and I'll put you in touch with the keeper of this jewel. Car located in the Dallas/Ft Worth Metro.
One owner (title still dates back to 1982 to prove it is one owner), 1982 Saab 900s 4 door sedan with 5 speed and manual sunroof. I bought the car from the original owner who is a friend but never put it back on the road.
Right now as it sits it needs to have the fuel tank drained and perhaps new fuel pump installed and also the clutch master cylinder needs replacing. Otherwise the car is very straight. The paint overall is decent and could clean out with a polish or buff. The front headlight bezels are broken and needs a set. Also the passenger side turn signal needs replaced. When the car ran last when I bought it drove great. Even the air conditioner worked properly. What a joy it was to drive but now it just sits.
Interior is just mint and so cool. Only flaw in the interior is the rear of the headliner has tears in it at the very edge. Dash has a very few fine cracks.
Asking $1000 or open to interesting trades.
That's in nice shape. GLWS!

I'd really love to have this if it weren't 12 hours away. I can't get past that crack-free dash. Excellent.

This.
Thank God it's about 1500mi from me.
Nobody huh? I thought for sure this would be the place for this sweet Scandinavian lady magnet.
If I had money, room and time, I'd be stockpiling C900s like a crazy cat lady collects felines. FWIW my kid wants to fly and drive for this - he wants a 5spd 4 door that he and his meathead lineman friends will fit into better than an EK Civic. He has less money than me, though.
I've got a trustworthy shop here that could get it up and running to make a fly and drive dream a reality.
Or better yet, maybe someone has the grit to get on a bus and make it a real road trip.
Have you tried posting on SAABRally.com?
Maybe later this afternoon I'll link this thread onto their classifieds.
Cool survivor, I would love to have it, but I already have too many irons in the fire.
Thanks Andy! Not being a true "Saab Guy" I haven't been over there. I'm really just trying to keep this car off of CL.
I'll put it on SaabWorld's classifieds. I also go to SaabNet, but they charge some $ for classifieds there.
