After 2 years, I finally pinned down the issue why the MX-3 never ran right.... after swapping Ecu's, Vaf's, coils, dizzy, Fuelpump.... This is the problem. The exhaust Housing is off a B6T, not a F2T. This is a true ballbearing 2871, with a t3 compressor wheel in a modified Hitachi turbo2 housing. rather than try to find a housing that Will work, I'm switching to a t3/t4 60 trim. This turbo is a true ballbearing Garrett turbo. if anyone has another turbo I'll entertain trades as well as cash. asking $450 shipped in the lower

How does the exhaust housing cause the issues you have?
How would it work when swapped on a different car? Or would the exhaust housing have to be changed for it to work?
(Sorry if these are stupid questions, I know little about turbos other than I need a larger one.)
It would probably work really well on a B6T. Possibly a BP.
On an F2, not so much.
The F2T's have such a high exhaust velocity, having a smaller than stock housing is limiting the flow... Basically choking up the engine when over 10psi on a F2T.
$300? I need to sell this soon!
Bah, trying to decide if I want this on my Miata.
Any idea of how many miles on it. Any shaft play?
it has ~25k. I got it used and have had it on the Mazda for 2 1/2 years. Has some play, but nothing id consider a problem. Uses no oil.
Looks like its from Corksport...
* CORK SPORT VJ-14 upgradeThe Cork Sport Ball bearing turbo upgrade uses the newest technology available from Garrett. The center section is the dual ball bearing GT-25 cartridge. The compressor housing is a T-3 style. The best part of this turbo is that it retains the IHI exhaust housing so it can be used with the stock B6T exhaust manifold.. The turbo includes new oil feed line, coolant fittings and oil return hose. This upgrade does require a good used IHI VJ-14 exhaust housing. If you cannot supply one please contact a sales representative to see if one is available from Cork Sport. $1300.00
